Memory Remains

lookin back at the life that past,
a truckload of joy and a heartload of pain.
how long i know not what will last,
I know not - what i lost or gain.

once a smile made my day,
wishin it would last forever...
and now totally broken i lay,
what i was - now i can be never.

blowin across the seas,
are the winds of change.....
travel i alone and hurt,
learnin the ways of the world so strange...

the pain i can bear no more,
the memories in my heart remain
